How to get here!

You have many options to get to Vail. Flights are available into Denver International and local Eagle Vail airport. Rental cars and private shuttles are provided to Vail daily during winter and summer season. Check out links for more information.

Vail is located 120 miles west of Denver International Airport.

From Denver International Airport (DEN):

Depart the airport via Pena Boulevard (follow signs to exit airport and you will be on Pena Blvd.) from DIA to Interstate 70 (I-70) west.

Continue approximately 120 miles, never exiting I-70 until you reach the Vail, turn off Exit 176 and head eastbound on the frontage road .2 miles.

Take a left at the small round-about so that you go through the underpass. You will come to a large round-about. (East bound I-70 traffic should also exit at #176, and will immediately come to the large round-about.)

Exit round-about onto S. Frontage Road heading East toward Vail Village Parking Structure .2 miles.

Go past the Vail Parking Structure entrance, and turn right onto Vail Valley Drive which is marked by a Stop sign.

Vail Valley Drive goes down the hill behind the parking structure and curves to the left. Take your 3rd right onto Hanson Ranch Road about 150 yards.

Hanson Ranch Road ends just in front of the Mill Creek Court, a terra cotta colored building with a handicapped ramp.

Depending on weather and road conditions travel time to Vail it is typically 2 1/2 hours by private car and may be 3 to 3/12 hours by shuttle.

From Eagle Vail Airport (EGE):

Take Cooley Mesa Road (main airport road) to Highway 6. Take a right on Highway 6. You will be heading east.

Follow Highway 6 to signs for Interstate 70 (I-70) east.

Proceed on I-70 for approximately 20-25 minutes, to until you reach the Vail, turn off Exit 176 and head eastbound on the frontage road .2 miles.

Take a left at the small round-about so that you go through the underpass. You will come to a large round-about. (East bound I-70 traffic should also exit at #176, and will immediately come to the large round-about.)

Exit round-about onto S. Frontage Road heading East toward Vail Village Parking Structure .2 miles.

Go past the Vail Parking Structure entrance, and turn right onto Vail Valley Drive which is marked by a Stop sign.
